Our client, a distributor based in East Kilbride are currently looking to recruit a Bookkeeper to join the team on a temporary contract, this will initially be for 2 months however the position could be extended and may be made permanent for the right candidate. The main purpose of this role will be to assist with management accounts and process payroll.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Credit control

  • Payroll

  • General administration duties

  • Accounts payable

  • Accounts receivable

  • Maintaining ledger accounts

  • Bank reconciliations

  • Cashflow

  • Producing financial reports

  • Employee expenses

  • Petty cash

To be considered for this position, candidates must have the following skills and background:

  • Previous experience of working in a similar Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant position

  • Experience processing payroll is essential

  • Credit control experience is desirable but not essential

  • Able to work on your own initiative, unsupervised and meet deadlines
