Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for the handling of medical devices during manufacture and packaging processes, ensuring quality standards and customer demands are always top priority.


Working as part of a small production team, you will support the development work and the introduction of packaging improvements.


Responsibilities



  • Carry out strip collection and storage activities

  • Carry out all operations efficiently to meet packaging schedules and customer demand

  • Ensure packaging process critical quality elements are met

  • Resolve any issues where possible

  • Support routine calibration/maintenance checks to keep packaging equipment compliant

  • Support trials of new materials and processes when required

  • Complete accurate batch records and relevant audit paperwork

  • Support the maintenance and update of production procedures

  • Record and communicate all process observations/deviations in timely manner

  • Meet all relevant GMP and HSE requirements


Ideally



  • Familiar with business goals and work to achieve these

  • Work together with colleagues in the delivery of individual and team goals

  • Undertake own training and support the development of team member


Essential Skills



  • Experience of following/working to written procedures and completing accurate records

  • Organised and detail conscious approach to work

  • Computer literate

  • Motivated and able to work well with others

  • The ability to communicate effectively within own team and other departments when required


Desirable Skills



  • Experience of operating within a GMP/other regulated manufacturing environment

  • Material handling experience

  • Experience of operating process equipment

  • Awareness of Lean Manufacturing/5S techniques
