We are currently recruiting for a Production Engineering Manager on behalf of a client based in Fife. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation that is not only growing but is a market leader within their chosen field.

You will be responsible for all aspects of Product support Engineering across three locations. The primary aim of the role is to challenge the existing engineering resource pool to ensure that safe, practical and efficient processes are implemented in line with key company principles.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-disciplined engineering team.

  • Establish and prioritise activities in support of business objectives.

  • Establish customer requirement and implement robust, efficient and safe processes.

  • Ensure all operational SOP are accurate and up to date in line with current customer requirements.

  • Support production team with technical issues, ensuring all issues impacting the ability to deliver customer demand are addressed expeditiously.

  • Manage process quality, ensuring all process defects are subject to robust RCCA analysis.

  • Interface with key customers understanding requirements, establishing and delivering suitable/sustainable solutions.

  • Manage the Continuous Improvement team setting challenging objectives to deliver on-site performance improvement.

  • Assume the site technical lead for all New Product Introductions.

  • Drive year on year efficiency improvements with multi-departmental/discipline teams.


  • Degree qualified with experience leading a multi-disciplined engineering team.

  • Previous CI/Kaizen experience is desired but not essential

  • Strong commercial appreciation preferred.

  • Experience of a reverse logistics environment beneficial.

  • Experience of an electronic or high-speed manufacturing environment is essential.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills, at all levels. Internal and external.

  • The role demands strong presentation skills.

  • Occasional travel to other locations at short notice is essential.
