Are you an experienced Contracts Manager who backs themselves in a sales-focused BD role?
An excellent opportunity has arisen - a newly created position for an experienced FM-biased Contracts Manager who is looking to take a step into a Business development position.

You will be working at the heart of the Operations team to work with the current management team to help support the current clients/ contracts, whilst also taking the lead to establish new business/contract wins within the FM/ Building Services division.

You will be tasked with building on the current pipeline for Scotland including development plans, and growth of the pipeline for the next financial year to meet business targets.

Main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the delivery of profitable client business (expanding on current or new business) all within FM contracts.
  • Fostering long-term relationships, negotiating client contracts, and increasing new business pipeline.
  • Providing direction and expertise to the operating area by promoting the company strategies and service offers to prospective clients.
  • Encouraging innovation to develop and grow the business beyond core activities and secure the company's position as a preferred supplier on new accounts.
  • Project management of key accounts for organic growth and new business.
  • Manage pre-qualification processes with prospective clients by identifying the expectations of the prospects and designing commercial proposals specific to the prospect.
  • Participate in the promotion of the image and brand of the company in all agreed markets professionally and ethically at all times.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Experience in FM / building services as an engineer/supervisor/ manager is essential to being successful within this role.
  • Sound knowledge of the industry/client sectors, including sound knowledge of both private and public sector tendering and commissioning procedures.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills.
  • Development of commercially viable solutions based on rigorous techniques to understand client needs and price products/services accordingly.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and facilitation skills. Will be required to communicate with audiences ranging from large groups to individuals, normally in very senior roles, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Assisting with the total bid process for new and retained business.
  • High standards of numeracy and written communication, particularly sales/bid copy.
  • Ability to develop ideas, initiatives, and new approaches across all areas including assessment of the mechanics of delivery, financial costs, and human and technical resource requirements.

Salary:

  • Up to £55,000 (open to discussion depending on experience).
  • Car/ Car Allowance.
  • Private healthcare.
  • Holidays 35 days.
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm.
