What do I do if I am absent due to sickness during my assignment?
For periods of sickness absence up to 7 days, PAYE temporary workers may "self-certificate" by completing and submitting the HRMC self-certification form
Sickness claims beyond 7 days must be accompanied by acceptable medical evidence. For example a Statement of Fitness for Work or ‘fit note' from your doctor that says you ‘are not fit for work'.
Get in touch with your consultant if you require any further information.

Do I get paid if I am sick?
PAYE temporary workers may be eligible for Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) provided that you meet the relevant statutory criteria.
Further information on SSP is included in your contract with Escape and available at Directgov.

Getting Paid
When do I get paid?
You will be paid either weekly or monthly as stipulated in your assignment details form.
Weekly = Each Friday, one week in arrears
Monthly = The last Friday of each month

What if I have a question about with my pay?

How do I receive my payslip?
We will send your payslip by email. Your consultant will arrange the details with you before you start your assignment. Please keep us updated with any changes to your email account.

End of Contract/Temporary Assignment
What is my notice period?
Your notice period will be detailed on your assignment details form which you will receive for each assignment you undertake through Escape.

How do I get my P45?
You will receive this with your final payslip along with your remaining holiday pay if applicable.

Tax Questions
What tax forms should I provide?
To ensure you are allocated the correct tax code your need to provide us with your latest P45. If you do not have this you can download, complete and submit a P46 to accounts@escaperecruitment.com
If you're a full-time student with a holiday job you should download, complete and submit a P38 to accounts@escaperecruitment.com

What is Escape Recruitment's PAYE number?

What do I do if I have a query about my tax?

How do I know what my tax code is?
This will appear on your payslip. If you have queries email accounts@escaperecruitment.com or call 01506 461445 and ask for our Accounts Team
