With an unrivalled track record of growth and investment, our client manufactures and exports products around the world. To support increased market share they have an opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join them on a 9-month fixed term contract. This is an opportunity to join an enthusiastic team and gain experience with a highly regarded manufacturing business in a growing sector.


You will assist with the financial tasks of the business to ensure the production of consistent, high quality financial data.


 Key responsibilities will include:


  • Processing and management of purchase invoices
  • Preparation of supplier statements.
  • Preparation of sales invoices.
  • Assisting with sales ledger downloads from the ERP system.
  • Managing BACS transactions and bank reconciliations.
  • Credit control activities.
  • Dealing with any purchase and sales invoice queries.
  • Processing credit card statements.
  • Inputting financial information into the company systems including excel, SAGE and the ERP system.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the accounts, P&L and financial analysis.
  • Finance administration work.
  • Contributing towards project improvements within the finance team
  • Liaising with company auditors as required.
  • Providing cover for the Finance Manager as required.


 To be considered for the role you should be able to demonstrate:


  • Previous experience of working in a similar role.
  • A proven ability to process PL and SL invoices and experience of accounts prep.
  • A strong working knowledge of SAGE would be beneficial as would previous exposure to an ERP system.
  • PC literate with good Excel skills.
  • A customer focused approach and good communication skills.
  • Strong numeracy skills and an attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
