As the Demand Planning Manager, you will be responsible for leading improvements in long-term volume forecasting, strengthening the S&OP process and ensuring stock availability to deliver high levels of customer service.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • To work closely with the Supply Chain Manager on the evolution and implementation of S&OP.
  • Developing your team of 2 Demand Planners through daily coaching, mentoring, and formal development plans.
  • Supporting an environment that allows constructive engagement between Supply Chain and Commercial teams to work with Supply Chain as a trusted co-pilot.
  • Utilising appropriate technologies in reviewing demand trends to gain and maximise intelligence to support forecast accuracy.
  • Being the recognised process expert for all aspects related to Demand Planning processes and systems.
  • Driving down obsolescence by constant tracing of slow-moving stock and initiating appropriate actions with the commercial teams.
  • Focussing on and promoting continuous process/system improvements, within Demand, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Finance.
  • Expanding your responsibility to include strategic distributors to gain clarity on demand and potential synergies across the end to end supply chain.

 

Suitable candidates:

  • Previous experience working in a Demand Planning role within FMCG or Drinks industry.
  • Previous experience managing people or developing talent within a team.
  • Strong technical understanding of ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Thorough understanding of demand planning processes and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and continuous improvement.
  • Detailed understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and their connection with the broader business.
  • Excellent communication skills, highly analytical and numerate with first-rate attention to detail.
  • Strong influencing skills and sound decision making.
