My client is a well-known and respected manufacturer, supplying to major customers across the UK. The company operates from a modern manufacturing facility based in Kirkcaldy and is a key player in the local community.


The site itself has grown in the last 5 years and they expect this to continue over time. Following a recent investment of over £3 million, they are looking to establish a new Training Academy and take the company on the next stage of its learning and development journey. This will be an on-going project, looking for a candidate to provide training and support to their existing staff while also establishing an effective training program for employees of the future.


Reporting directly into and supporting the HR Manager your responsibilities will include:



  • Assisting in the plans for the Training Academy, providing full support and guidance to senior staff in line with the business needs

  • Liaising with managers to co-ordinate all training requirements

  • Co-ordinating all training certificates, scanning and uploading documentation to personal records

  • Ensuring no training/certificates become out-of-date

  • Designing and delivering the full induction process for all new starts

  • Providing HR administration assistance as required

  • Liaising with 3rd party training providers

  • Resource planning - recruitment for the site, including advertising, screening CVs, arranging interviews and liaising with 3rd party recruitment agencies

  • Providing sound advice to management and staff, in line with company policies


The successful candidate will have the following skills, experience, and background:



  • Previous experience in a similar role such, L&D Co-ordinator or an HR Advisor/HR Manager whose focus has been L&D

  • Relevant industry experience, ideally within manufacturing/industrial sectors

  • Excellent IT skills, previous experience of CRM and ERP systems

  • Strong communication and organisational skills
