My client is a successful SME IT company based in Glasgow; due to continued growth they have an excellent opportunity for a Sales Manager to join them on a permanent basis. The role will be working remotely with the expectation to travel to the office in Glasgow circa. Once per week as required.


You will be based in the sales team and reporting to the Sales Director, specifically responsible for identifying new business sales opportunities and building strong relationship with Customers, Distributors and Vendors. distributors in order to increase sales opportunities, whilst identifying new business sales opportunities.


Responsibilities will include:



  • Identify sales opportunities and approach using the appropriate method including telephone, email and online platforms

  • Arrange Customer meetings to introduce company and services

  • Follow a structured sales process

  • Provide sales quotes and follow up

  • Build strong relationships with Customers, Distributors and Vendors

  • Liaise with internal technical team to gain technical knowledge

  • Attend, conduct and drive meetings, this includes virtual and face to face

  • Coordinate and provide input into proposals and tenders

  • Provide sales and account forecasting and reporting

  • Build sales pipeline

  • Update CRM database

  • Contract negotiations


To be considered for this position, candidates must have the following background and skills:



  • Previous B2B sales &/or account management experience within

  • Experience of working in IT software or hardware

  • Proven track record of sales achievements

  • Able to build strong relationships

  • Comfortable attending face to face meetings, these could be across Scotland, UK or International as required

  • Good IT skills, able to use MS Office and online platforms such as MS Teams, Zoom, Skype etc

  • You will be determined, driven and focused on achieving sales targets and passionate about building strong relationships to increase brand awareness and profitability

  • Full clean UK driving licence
