Escape Recruitment are working with an internationally renowned manufacturing organisation, to assist them in recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer (Electrically biased) to join their growing and diverse work force.

Based in the central belt of Scotland, you will be tasked with maintaining our client's highest of standards for their international clientele and be able to work and contribute ideas within a lean environment.

Along with an exceptional salary package, you will be afforded with a half working day on a Friday afternoon to enable you to get your weekend started early.

About the role:

As one of our essential Manufacturing Engineering Team, you'll provide solid Manufacturing Engineering capability to our business.

Your role will be to:

  • Proactively ensure production is set up for success to achieve the plant's delivery, cost, quality, and safety goals.

  • Your experience should allow you to provide technical authority for manufacturing processes.

  • Create and maintain build standard operating procedures with a focus on electrical engineering (i.e. cable routes/harnessing, reading electrical schematics and drawings).

  • Problem solve issues on the shopfloor using root cause analysis, 8D problem solving, etc.

  • A large part of your role will include Process Improvement that includes identifying and implementing processes to improve production and build hours.

  • Contribute to CAPEX and equipment improvement projects across the site.

About You:

  • Essential experience of working in a Manufacturing Engineering role with a focus on the electrical elements of products (cabling, etc) and with the ability to read and interpret (working from) electrical diagrams/drawings/schematics.

  • You will have experience in generating electrical SOPs for wire harness to OEM connections and driving change in the way they work electrically.

  • You'll be a driven, curious, and analytical Engineer. Someone who strives for continuous improvement and is able to work under structured methodologies and be analytical.

  • Bring extensive NPI Manufacturing experience, delivering constant customer specific change into production lines.

  • Being a business which fosters relationships with clients and stakeholders, relationship building should come easily to you.

  • You are a multitasker who thrives being busy and looks for new ways of doing things.
