My client has an immediate requirement for an experienced Finance Manager to support them on an interim basis.
Reporting the Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the finance function in a varied and hands-on role.
Responsibilities Include
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Budget monitoring and reporting including variance analysis
- Track, monitor and report on spend including providing analysis
- Support with completing investment and funding compliance documentation
- Bank reconciliations
- Process payments and bank transfers
- Reconciliation of key balance sheet account areas
- Overseeing transactional activities including purchase ledger, sales invoicing, credit control, payment runs, supplier statement reconciliation
- Oversee utility contracts and IT equipment register
- Support Director with preparation of annual management accounts and financial statements
- Liaise with auditors for annual audits
- Build strong relationships with external suppliers, auditors, stakeholders and non-financial staff
- Preparation of financial returns to external partners,
- Support Director with annual budgets and forecasting
- Provide detailed finance information and analysis for monthly and quarterly meetings
- Review processes and support business improvement changes
Background & Experience Required
- QBE, part qualified or fully qualified candidates will be considered
- Solid financial management experience is essential, ideally within a SME environment in a varied operational role
- Previous experience of managing a small team
- Confident IT skills should include MS Excel and ideally Sage
