Great opportunity for an Indirect Category Manager to work for an FMCG Group and will support multiple stakeholders across the Indirect multi-million-pound spend category.
The Category manager will be responsible for all indirect spend ranging from Facilities Management to Professional Services and Technology and will lead category spend across multiple sites and work with different Stakeholders.
The Category Manager will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure you understand their business objectives and priorities from cost reduction targets to gaining competitive advantages. You will use your market knowledge to deliver an efficient and effective sourcing approach, providing market insight and analysis, and deliver competitive and professional end-to-end tender processes.
You will build strong and manage strong relationships with key suppliers, keep track of trends and developments that might impact price or supply chain availability and explore supplier innovation opportunities to the fullest.
Experience and knowledge for the role:
- Solid sourcing and category management experience within indirect spend
- Proven experience in successful indirect sourcing and category management - any industry will be considered
- Able to demonstrate success in contract negotiation, cost savings, and strategic vendor partnerships
- Able to manage multiple tender projects
- Ability to build strong business relationships with colleagues and suppliers at all levels
- Solid business and commercial acumen
- Passionate to deliver good results and go the extra mile
- Prioritise and manage multiple projects
This is a hybrid position - bonus, option to purchase company shares and product allowance scheme.
