Escape Recruitment Services Commercial Division are supporting our client, a multinational corporate organisation based in Dundee to recruit an Onsite IT Support.
You will be responsible for providing 2nd line hardware and software IT support to their employees across the site, this will include troubleshooting, set up and installation and providing training. This role is part of a large global IT team although will be standalone onsite.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform desktop and network support
- Quickly and accurately diagnose desktop incidents, and provide timely resolution and professional communication
- Focus on end-user support for onsite and remote staff
- Liaise with internal specialists and external service providers to support with non-standard applications and systems
- Liaise with Network and Telecom IT Teams to help support the local computer room and local network equipment
- Train staff and certify to all validated systems
- Provide IT software and hardware onboarding to new hires
- Provide guidance to staff on following company procedure for 1st line support
- Take a high sense of responsibility and provide exceptional service levels
Background & Experience Required:
- Degree qualified in a relevant computer/IT related field
- Previous experience of providing PC and network support
- Experience of working in an internal customer focused, onsite support role is preferred
- Technical skills should include Windows 10/11, Active Directory, WiFi, IP Networks, iPhone/iPad Apps, Outlook and MS Office
- Knowledge of ITIL and practical experience with ITSM processes and tools
- Exceptional customer service skills, able to build strong relationships
- Comfortable communicating with end users in person including non technical staff
- Analytical approach to troubleshooting hardware and software problems
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong initiative and self-motivation, able to see projects through to completion
