Are you a science graduate looking for hands-on lab experience, or a lab technician keen to take on a short-term role with one of the world's most iconic drinks brands?
We are supporting our key client, Diageo as their state-of-the-art malting site at Roseisle (near Elgin) is looking for a Laboratory Technician to support quality control and analysis during the busy barley harvest season.
What you'll be doing:
As part of the on-site analytical support team, you'll carry out quality assessments on barley as it arrives at the site, ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout the intake process. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and clear communication are key.
This role operates on an early/backshift basis with hours being:
Week 1: 6am to 2pm
Week 2: 12pm to 8pm
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting barley intake analysis using established laboratory methods
- Reporting and communicating results clearly to colleagues to keep operations running smoothly
- Maintaining meticulous lab records and working to strict quality and safety standards
What we're looking for:
- Previous lab experience (through work or studies)
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and organised approach to your work
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport (due to site location)
