Excellent opportunity for an experienced Material Planner to join our growing manufacturing client based in West Lothian.


You will be responsible for controlling the flow of materials into the manufacturing facility in line with production requirements and budgeted targets.


Key responsibilities will include:



  • Managing stock levels to ensure production requirements.

  • Develop and control call off processes for materials with key suppliers.

  • Manage and report material stock levels against targets and challenge supply relationships, safety stocks, lead times to optimise and balance material stocks.

  • Work closely with Warehouse and Production teams to review stock holdings so stock inaccuracies can be highlighted.


Candidates:



  • Experience working in a planning role within an FMCG environment, must also be a confident user of MRP systems.

  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.

  • PC literate - advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • A proactive approach to tasks. Tackles problems in a timely manner and escalates where necessary to ensure these are overcome.
