The Role
- Champion a culture of health and safety, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
- Oversee manufacturing orders using AX Dynamics MRP to ensure timely delivery and efficient assembly line operations.
- Utilise Lean Manufacturing principles to optimise production processes and minimise costs.
- Develop and implement training programmes to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Collaborate with educational institutions to recruit apprentices and support workforce development initiatives.
- Lead production meetings and actively participate in management meetings to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage team schedules, including overtime activities and wage reviews.
- Conduct disciplinary proceedings when necessary, maintaining fairness and adherence to company policies.
The Candidate
- Demonstrated experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement programmes.
- Proven track record of driving change in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in machine shop operations is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Strong background in production management, with a focus on meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Proficient in personnel management practices and team leadership.
