Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and fit parts using standard procedures, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment (e.g. overhead crane, hydraulic press).
- Inspect components for defects; report non-conformances where needed.
- Perform fault finding and repairs using diagnostic software.
- Diagnose issues across systems such as electrics, hydraulics, cooling, engine, brakes, and pressure systems.
- Support the inspection team with fixing faults identified during testing.
- Keep work area clean and comply with safety standards.
- Drive completed machines onto transport vehicles.
- Participate in process improvements and lean manufacturing practices.
- Complete additional tasks and attend training as required.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Time-served or completed a recognised Modern Apprenticeship (mechanical or similar).
- Experience working with assembly tools and equipment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings, diagnostic plans, and work instructions.
- Practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis.
- Able to work collaboratively within a team and communicate clearly.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability using set procedures.
- Must hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working with similar machinery or equipment.
