We're working with a well-established luxury goods business with a long-standing reputation for quality. They're now looking for an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead their flagship store in Glasgow and play a key part in its success.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll lead a small retail team, drive local promotional activity, and shape the store's offering to meet customer demand. It would suit someone with a commercial mindset and strong people skills, who enjoys being part of a growing and collaborative team.
You will have the opportunity to take full ownership of a high-profile store within a respected organisation with a blend of operational responsibility and creative freedom in your role.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing all day-to-day aspects of the store, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service
- Leading and developing a team of Retail Sales Assistants, setting rotas, approving timesheets and coaching for performance
- Driving store sales and community engagement through events, promotions and local marketing initiatives
- Monitoring store performance, reporting on sales figures, stock levels, margins and costs
- Creating and refreshing store layouts and product displays, ensuring the shop is well presented and commercially appealing
- Sourcing new complementary products to enhance the store's offering and customer experience
- Work closely with the merchandising, production and area sales teams
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in a retail management role, leading a small team
- Previous experience of working with luxury, high quality products is highly advantageous
- Strong customer focus, passionate about providing exceptional levels of service and providing customers with a journey of the company history and product development
- A confident people manager who can lead by example and motivate a team
- Creative and resourceful - someone who enjoys getting involved in layout planning, local marketing and events
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret sales and performance data
- Comfortable using stock and reporting systems, along with Microsoft Office
- Organised, detail-oriented and calm under pressure
