Mechanical Assembly Technician - Motherwell
£16.17 per hour | Mon-Thurs | Permanent
We're looking for a time-served technician or qualified apprentice to join a busy manufacturing team in Motherwell. This is a hands-on role involving mechanical assembly, fault finding, and system diagnostics.
What you'll be doing:

Assembling and fitting parts to spec using hand/power tools

Diagnosing and repairing faults across electrical, hydraulic, engine, brake, and cooling systems

Using workshop equipment like overhead cranes and hydraulic presses

Supporting inspections and resolving non-conformances

Interpreting technical drawings and diagnostic plans

Driving completed machines for transport
What we need from you:

Relevant mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent experience

Comfortable with diagnostic tools and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting

Strong attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach

Full, clean UK driving licence
Bonus if you've worked with similar machinery or in a lean manufacturing setup.
