Escape is working with an established manufacturing business in Fife who are looking to appoint an experienced Purchasing Manager. This is a key role and the Purchasing Manager will ensure materials are available to meet production demands.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Leading and mentor a small purchasing team
- Working with planning and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels
- Processing purchase orders and ensuring materials are available for production
- Maintaining accurate MRP data – pricing and inventory levels
- Build strong supplier relationships to protect lead times and minimise supply disruption
- Driving continuous improvement across procurement processes
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards and regulatory requirements
Knowledge and experience required for the role:
- Solid purchasing experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience in managing successful teams
- Experienced in using MRP systems
- Solid understanding of BOMs, inventory management and forecasting
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and Suppliers
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a track record of improving proc
