Escape Recruitment is working with a major manufacturing business to recruit a Reliability & Asset Engineer to join their site engineering team.
This is not a hands-on maintenance role. It is a data-driven, engineering-led position focused on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and driving OEE performance across production assets.
The Role
You will take ownership of reliability performance within a defined production area, working closely with Maintenance and Production to eliminate repeat failures and improve asset performance.
Key areas include:
-
Leading root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures
-
Using data (downtime, condition monitoring, trends) to identify improvement opportunities
-
Applying Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) principles
-
Conducting FMEA and failure analysis
-
Driving improvements in MTBF, MTTR, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
-
Supporting condition monitoring strategies (vibration, thermography, etc.)
-
Optimising preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
-
Working cross-functionally to remove bottlenecks and improve throughput
What We're Looking For
Essential:
-
HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
-
Experience in a manufacturing / process environment
-
Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles
-
Experience analysing data to drive engineering decisions
-
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Desirable:
-
Experience with RCA, FMEA, RCM or condition monitoring
-
Experience with CMMS systems (e.g. Maximo)
-
Background in heavy industry, FMCG, or continuous process environments
Why Apply?
-
Opportunity to step into a true reliability-focused engineering role
-
High impact position influencing plant performance and OEE
-
Strong collaboration with production and engineering leadership
