The Role
We're working with a well-established manufacturing business looking to bring in a Goods Inwards Quality Inspector on a 6-month fixed-term basis.
This role sits at the front end of production and plays a key part in making sure all incoming materials meet required standards before being released into the manufacturing process.
What You'll Be Doing
- Inspect incoming materials against purchase orders, specifications, and quality standards
- Review and verify material certification (EN10204 3.1 / 3.2)
- Check chemical and mechanical properties against specifications
- Carry out visual and dimensional inspections
- Support non-destructive testing where required (PMI, DPI, hardness testing)
- Apply sampling plans in line with ISO 2859-1
- Raise and manage non-conformance reports
- Maintain accurate inspection and traceability records
- Work closely with suppliers, purchasing, and internal teams to resolve issues
What They're Looking For
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering quality environment
- Strong understanding of incoming inspection processes
- Experience working with material certification (3.1 / 3.2)
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
