Description

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic - Build & Assembly (Day Shift)
Central Belt (East Kilbride) | £18-£21 per hour | Monday-Friday | 40 hours | Day Shift | Immediate Starts Available

We're working with a growing Scottish manufacturing business that has moved quickly from concept to production and is now scaling.

They're now looking to bring in experienced Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics to support the build and assembly of their product.

This is not a standard servicing role.

It's hands-on, full vehicle build work where you'll be involved from start to finish, working closely with engineers and technicians in a structured, quality-led environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Mechanical assembly and fitment of components
  • Working from engineering drawings and build instructions
  • Using hand tools, torque equipment and measurement tools
  • Supporting testing, fault finding and build quality
  • Completing build documentation and quality checks
  • Working as part of a close-knit production team

What we're looking for

  • Background as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
  • Open to automotive, HGV, plant, heavy engineering or similar
  • Strong mechanical skills and confidence using tools
  • Experience with assembly, repairs or diagnostics
  • Good attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills

What's on offer

  • £18-£21 per hour depending on experience
  • Day shift, Monday to Friday
  • Permanent role with immediate start available
  • Opportunity to move into a modern manufacturing environment
  • Training provided into new technologies and systems

If you're looking to move away from routine servicing and into something more involved and hands-on, this is worth a conversation.
