Up to £46,200 (Inclusive of £2,400 Flexibility Allowance) + OTE £60,000
4-Day Working Week | Monday - Thursday | 11:20am - 9:50pm

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a highly successful manufacturing operation near Bishopton.

The Role

Working as part of a close-knit team of five engineers alongside the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of manufacturing equipment across the site.

The role combines reactive and planned maintenance activities, fault finding, continuous improvement initiatives and involvement in engineering projects aimed at improving plant performance and reliability.

You will also play a key role during planned shutdown periods, contributing to major maintenance activities and equipment upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanical maintenance and fault finding on manufacturing equipment

  • Planned preventative maintenance activities

  • Breakdown diagnosis and repair

  • Hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives

  • Assisting with installation and commissioning projects

  • Working closely with production and engineering colleagues to maximise plant uptime

What We're Looking For

  • Time-served Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or equivalent engineering qualification

  • Strong experience working within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment

  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

  • Strong hydraulics and pneumatics experience is essential

  • Experience working with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings and rotating equipment would be advantageous.
