This is a key role within the supply chain function, responsible for ensuring materials are available when required to support production schedules. Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, you will play an important role in keeping materials flowing, resolving issues and ensuring production can continue without disruption.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role, ideal for someone who enjoys supplier communication, problem-solving and taking ownership.
Reporting to the Material Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Running MRP outputs and converting requirements into purchase orders
- Raising, maintaining and updating purchase orders in line with production demand
- Expediting supplier deliveries and proactively managing shortages
- Building strong relationships with suppliers to improve communication and delivery performance
- Working closely with Production, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure materials are available when required
- Identifying and escalating potential material issues before they impact production
- Resolving delivery discrepancies, supplier queries and order issues
- Maintaining accurate system information, reports and material records
We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised and enjoys working in a busy manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with MRP systems and purchase orders
- Confidence communicating with suppliers and building effective relationships
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and resolving issues
- Excellent attention to detail and a willingness to get involved
- This role would suit someone who enjoys picking up the phone, building supplier relationships and making things happen, rather than waiting for issues to escalate.

The role offers:
- Hybrid working (4 days onsite, Friday working from home)
