Are you a recent graduate looking to build a career in Buying and Procurement?
We are working with an established organisation to recruit a Graduate Buyer into a structured development role, giving you hands-on exposure to purchasing, supplier management, materials planning, data analysis and continuous improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is analytical, commercially curious and keen to develop a long-term career within Buying and Procurement.
What will you be doing?
You will gain practical experience across areas including:
- Supporting day to day purchasing and purchase order management
- Communicating with suppliers and following up on deliveries
- Monitoring supplier performance, lead times and open orders
- Supporting materials planning, inventory analysis and supply availability
- Using Excel, ERP/MRP systems and Power BI to analyse data
- Supporting cost analysis and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Working closely with procurement, production, planning, logistics, finance and commercial teams
- Supporting supplier reviews and cross-functional improvement projects
- Exploring the use of AI and automation to improve procurement processes
- Contributing to a structured improvement project during your first 12 months
What are we looking for?

- Or a related discipline
No previous buying or procurement experience is essential.
Placements, internships, university projects or work experience within supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, purchasing, customer service, finance or data analysis would be advantageous.
We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate:
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
- Good communication and relationship building skills
- A genuine interest in Buying, Procurement and Supply Chain
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data
- A willingness to learn ERP/MRP systems and Power BI
- A proactive, curious and practical approach to problem solving
- The ability to manage priorities and follow actions through
- An interest in technology, automation, AI and continuous improvement
What does the development programme offer?
This role has been designed to give you a strong foundation in Buying and Procurement, with structured exposure to operational purchasing, materials planning, supplier performance, inventory, cost analysis, analytics and improvement projects.
You will also have access to professional development towards a CIPS or equivalent procurement qualification, alongside mentoring and regular development reviews.
