Escape Recruitment is looking for a proactive Buyer/Expeditor to join a growing manufacturing business investing in a new production facility.
Working as part of a great Supply Chain team, you will play an important role in ensuring materials are available to meet production requirements. This is a hands-on role covering purchasing, supplier expediting and materials planning, with a focus on keeping orders on track and production running smoothly.
Key responsibilities:
- Raising purchase orders and ensuring materials are ordered on time.
- Chasing suppliers and expediting deliveries to avoid production delays.
- Monitoring stock levels, material availability and outstanding orders.
- Resolving supplier issues and keeping MRP/ERP system data accurate.
- Working closely with Production, Planning and suppliers to meet business requirements.
- Supporting inventory control and identifying potential supply issues.
Knowledge and experience required for the role:
- Experience in purchasing, materials planning or a similar supply chain role, ideally within manufacturing - other industries will be considered.
- Confident raising POs, chasing deliveries and dealing with suppliers.
- Familiar with MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
- A good communicator with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
