Development pathway towards Project Manager

Looking to turn your degree into a career in project management?

Escape Recruitment is recruiting a Graduate Project Coordinator for an established engineering business in Fife. You'll learn alongside experienced Project Managers, with an intended development pathway towards Project Manager over approximately two to three years, depending on your progress and business requirements.

The role

You'll take responsibility for the coordination that keeps projects moving, including:

* Preparing and checking project documentation.
* Tracking deadlines, deliverables and approvals.
* Following up outstanding actions with colleagues and external contacts.
* Coordinating dates and requirements across teams.
* Maintaining project records and supporting progress reporting.
* Taking on smaller projects and greater responsibility as you develop.

What we're looking for

Graduates from engineering, science, business, supply chain or other relevant disciplines are welcome. Previous project management employment isn't essential; examples from university projects, placements or part-time work are equally useful.

You'll need:

* A clear interest in a project management career.
* Strong organisation and attention to detail.
* Confidence communicating, asking questions and following up actions.
* The willingness and ability to understand technical information.
* A proactive approach to solving problems and knowing when to seek guidance.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office and an ability to learn new systems.

You should be keen to progress while recognising that documentation, administration and reliable follow-up are essential parts of the starting role.

What's on offer

* Starting salary £31k - £33k pa.
* Practical learning alongside experienced Project Managers.
* Support towards a relevant project management qualification.
* An intended two-to-three-year development pathway towards PM.

Fully office-based during probation, with up to two remote days per week afterwards by agreement.
