BioMar Manufacturing Process Engineer Job

A major player in the fish feed industry, BioMar have over 1500 employees, many of whom have built long term careers within the business. They are currently increasing capacity at their Grangemouth site and the appointment of a new Manufacturing Process Engineer will allow the business to excel.

With efficiency core to their business operation and growth, the role of Manufacturing Process Engineer will have responsibility for defining and enhancing the processes required, ensuring production of cost effective and quality products.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring MRP systems accurately reflect all critical process / production engineering activities. Supporting standardisation initiatives across business units.
  • Identifying and creating suitable work instructions in line with ISO 9001.
  • Resolving problems related to the manufacturing process.
  • Actively getting involved with business improvement teams to improve process layout and optimise product flow.
  • You will be expected to actively coach and train staff in line with the above

You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with other BioMar sites worldwide with occasional travel required, 3-4 times per year (2-5 day duration at most). Additional requirements for this position include:

  • A degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Continuous improvement experience. A green belt qualification would be advantageous.
  • Experience within a material processing environment
  • Problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective action experience.
  • Demonstrable influencing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
