The FM team at Escape Recruitment is working in partnership with a Manufacturing company who are based in North Lanarkshire. A rare opportunity is available within the FM team (the first in 4 years) for an FM Electrician. This is a full-time, permanent position for a static site that offers a clear progression place to an Electrical Supervisor for the right person.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • PPM and reactive maintenance of all M&E plant equipment.
  • Working with the client on a daily basis to carry out the planning and service delivery of all required fault finding, service, repairs, maintenance, and calibration.
  • Decide which current M&E equipment/plant requires an upgrade or any further needs investigated - reporting any failures or areas for improvement.
  • Your role will encompass working on all electrical equipment - lighting/power etc, however as this is an FM-focused role everyone needs to chip in where possible to ensure the efficient running of the FM service delivery.
  • Ensuring the end customer is satisfied with the FM service delivery.
  • Responsible for carrying out all hazard and/ or risk assessments that fall in line with company procedures.

Qualifications / Experience needed:

  • You will be a time-served Electrician to trade - Electrical Installation/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • City & Guilds BS7671 18th Edition
  • You will have previous/current experience working in a busy FM environment dealing with PPM and reactive maintenance.
  • You will need to have strong problem-solving skills as you could be dealing with complex faults within a large manufacturing site.
  • Full UK driving licence (to participate in the on-call rota).


  • Salary paying up to £40,000 DOE.
  • Hours: Mon - Thurs 7:30am - 4:15 Fri 7:30am - 11:30am.
  • Overtime is available at 1.5 and 2.0.
  • On- Call ¼ - £150 p/w standby and minimum 4 hours call out paid.
  • Holidays 33 days.
  • Pension.
  • Sick pay paid.
  • Death in service.
