Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2)

We are working with an established engineering business to recruit a Welding Inspector to support quality control across fabrication, welding and assembly activities.
This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for ensuring products meet required specifications, codes and standards. You will be involved from pre-weld setup through to final inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out visual inspection of welds (pre, in-process and final)
- Verify fabricated and assembled products against drawings and specifications
- Monitor weld consumables and compliance with WPS/PQR
- Conduct weld surveillance and maintain inspection records
- Produce weld maps where required
- Perform dimensional inspection on final assemblies
- Support welder qualification testing
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve quality issues
- Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME and relevant standards
What You'll Need
- CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 certification (essential)
- Background in fabrication, welding and assembly
- Knowledge of NDT processes and acceptance criteria
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 / ASME standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
