Want varied procurement projects and the chance to work directly with the people behind them?
Work alongside universities and colleges in the North East of Scotland, building relationships with their teams and helping shape procurement around what they want to achieve.
Closer to the people and decisions
You will work directly with senior and operational stakeholders, exploring their requirements and advising on the procurement approach. Medium to long-term assignments give you time to understand each institution, build trust and stay involved as plans become practical outcomes.
Variety with a visible purpose
Your work could span different procurement categories or focus on a specialist research project. Each assignment brings new people, priorities and opportunities to broaden your experience.
You will see how your contribution supports education, research, facilities and services, while helping institutions put sustainability and environmental priorities into practice.
Autonomy, backed by a wider team
You will use your judgement and expertise, with our client's wider procurement community to draw on. You can share knowledge, collaborate with colleagues and access networking and professional development opportunities. Depending on the assignment, you may also have the opportunity to mentor less experienced staff.
What you will bring
Public Sector Procurement experience is essential, including practical tendering experience and experience of working with autonomy. Previous people management experience isn't essential.
Working arrangements
These permanent, full-time roles offer a nine-day fortnight or 4.5-day week. Other working patterns and hours will also be considered.
Hybrid working varies by assignment, with attendance when projects and stakeholders need you. You will need to travel to institutions across the North - East region.
