Based at Forth Valley College, you will work directly with the people who use the goods, services and facilities you help procure. You will get to understand their challenges, contribute your expertise and see how your work supports the college.

Work with stakeholders to shape the approach
You will build relationships with colleagues across the college, from senior leaders to the teams delivering its services. Together, you'll develop procurement plans and category strategies that reflect what the institution needs.
That gives you scope to ask questions, explore options and influence decisions, with a clear understanding of who will benefit and why.
Enjoy variety across the institution
Your portfolio will span different departments, projects and procurement categories. That could mean working with IT on technology requirements, supporting professional services procurement or helping estates colleagues deliver a refurbishment.
See your decisions put into practice
Working within the college brings you closer to the results. You will see how procurement supports teaching spaces, facilities and services, and help colleagues put the institution's sustainability and environmental commitments into practice.

Develop others, with support around you
You will lead a small team of one or two colleagues, helping them build their skills and confidence. Previous people management experience isn't essential, so this could be your next step if you're ready to develop into a leadership role.
You will also be part of our clients' wider procurement community, with colleagues across Scotland to share ideas, discuss challenges and support your professional development.
What you will bring
You must have Public Sector Procurement experience, including practical experience of end-to-end tendering, contract negotiation and contract management.
Working arrangements
You will work a nine-day hybrid fortnight.
