Description

Escape Recruitment is supporting our established client to recruit a hands-on Supply & Demand Planner to join a growing business, taking responsibility for demand planning, purchasing and stock replenishment across a broad product range of SKUs across multiple product categories.

This is a varied role where you will balance stock availability, supplier lead times and customer demand, while keeping a close eye on inventory levels and working capital.

The business is highly seasonal, with the focus shifting throughout the year from supplier relationships, pricing and service levels to purchasing, replenishment and preparing for peak trading periods, including Black Friday and Christmas.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyse demand, sales trends and forecasts to plan purchasing and maintain stock availability.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring the right products arrive at the right time.
  • Manage replenishment, minimum and maximum stock levels, and safety stock requirements.
  • Monitor supplier lead times, expedite orders and resolve delivery or availability issues.
  • Build supplier relationships, review pricing and service levels, and support new supplier introductions.
  • Coordinate inbound shipments with suppliers and freight partners.
  • Maintain accurate ERP/MRP data and produce purchasing, inventory and KPI reports.
  • Balance stock availability against inventory holding costs and working capital.
  • Manage Stock and relationships of a 3PL provider in the EU.

Experience and knowledge required for the role:

  • Experience in supply chain planning, purchasing, demand planning, inventory control or replenishment, ideally within e-commerce, retail, wholesale, distribution or FMCG.
  • A good understanding of stock management, supplier lead times, replenishment and inventory holding costs.
  • Strong analytical skills and confident Excel ability, including lookups, pivot tables and formulas.
  • Experience using an ERP/MRP system.
  • A proactive, organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

We are open to candidates with different levels of experience. What is important is a solid grounding in planning or purchasing, good commercial awareness and the confidence to take ownership of your workload.
