In August FMC Technologies announced the creation of 240 new jobs in central Scotland bringing their total Scottish workforce to nearly 1,000. The global leader of technology for the energy industry will add 170 new jobs at its plant in Bellshill and another 70 at its Dunfermline facility. President and chief executive of FMC, John Gremp said: "Our development of technical capability and talent in Scotland is a result of our continuing relationship with the Scottish Government via Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Development International".
