Operations Assistant

Full time - Permanent

Broxburn - Office based

Up to £24,500K per annum, depending on experience

Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing company based in Broxburn, is currently looking to recruit an Operations Assistant into their team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Entering ex-works sales orders on the daily production plan

  • Progressing sales orders following despatch from ERP

  • Preparation of export documentation for overseas customers

  • Customer contact to confirm and update logistics arrangements

  • Customer contact to accommodate special requests

  • Booking and co-ordination of UK and Overseas logistics channels, in and outbound

  • Close out and filing of completed sales orders

  • Additional team admin and support tasks as required

  • Preparing and placing limited value and one-off purchase orders

  • Supplier contact for order confirmation and expediting

  • Holiday cover for Operations team members (planning and purchasing) as required

To be considered for this position, candidates must have the following skills and background:

  • Solid experience within a similar role i.e. Sales Administrator, Export Administrator or Operations Administrator

  • Experience of export logistics documentation and processes is advantageous, but not essential

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Good IT skills, in particular MS Office packages

  • Excellent time management and scheduling skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
